About "Future of Fashion”show was first started by designer Soreyda Benedit- Begley and photographer Richie Wireman in 2009. The first Future of Fashion show was the event the lead to the formation of the non-profit organization, The Lexington Fashion Collaborative. This event became the LFCʼs annual fundraiser until Soreyda step down as director of the organization. The last FOF was held at the Lyric Theatre in 2013, it lasted 3 days. A mini documentary of this show is available here.

With over 30 years of experience in the fashion industry, Soreyda is ready to help develop the next generation of fashion talent in the Bluegrass region. The need for professional training and skill development in the fashion sector are very obvious. Her mission is to help close the gap that exists between the independent designers, the manufacturing sector and the general public (potential clientele).
